Archos officially announces Platinum tablets series

At last Archos is also ready to go in tablet market with their Platinum tablet series.The name looks similar to CES conference as one of them was even showcased at CES last month, but French manufacturer does not make it official there. The tablet is good in both aspects of hardware as well as in pricing.All the platinum devices features high end hardware and software wiith pocket friendly price so they might turn out to be quite interesting offerings.


All the tablets are powered with  a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor,8-core GPU along coupled with 2GB of RAM.   They also features rear and front cameras, HDMI and microSD support. The devices are stated to be run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean  out of box.

The  Archos 80 Platinum features a 8-inch display with 1024×768 pixel resolution.It would be priced at $199 in the US, £179 in the UK, €199 in Europe.The schedule for launch of 80 Platinum is not declared yet but the tablet will be available by the end of the month.

the next is Archos 97 Platinum and as it suggests it has a 9.7-inch display with  with 2048×1536 pixel resolution.In the matter of spec if follows the steps of iPad Retina screen.The device will be on sale along with the Archos 80 and the tablet will have price price tag of $299 in US, £249 in UK and €269 in Europe.

And the last but not least of Platinum range is the 11.6- screen Archos 116 Platinum, with 1920×1080 resolution IPS display. Archos 116 will hit the markets in April and will cost  around $349 in US, £299 in UK and €349 in Europe.
