HTC M7will hit France on March 8, priced at €650 with stacked sensor

We have all the secrets about HTC M7 including it's rate and spec so leaks and teasers go, HTC will have little to announce at its February 19 event. The SIM-free HTC M7  will cost around €650 and it will be released on March 8 with same name as some retailers said.

The spec list includes a 4.7" Full HD display, 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor along with 2GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory with microSD support, 4G, NFC, Android Jelly Bean and 2,300mAh battery.M7 is also confirmed to feature the latest HTC 5.0 sense and Double HP techno Beats Audio.

Also HTC M7 will have a 13 Megapixel camera with same physical properties but a new design with so-called ultrapixels. It seems to be very similar to the Foveon X3 sensors by Sigma. The Traditional sensors use a Bayer filter, so each pixels captures only a single color, means that a 13MP photo shot with a traditional sensor has 6.5 million green pixels and 3.25 million of red and blue pixel each. The final image has three colors per pixels, but the missing values are interpolated (math is used to calculate their approximate values).

But the  HTC M7 sensor will have three layers of pixels sticked on top of each other, each layer capturing one of the three primary colors. Each of the three layers has 4.3 million pixels. So, each ultrapixel will combine real readings from the three layers.

This is same to Nokia PureView Phase 1 (the Nokia 808) - in which the sensor there uses a Bayer matrix, but due to huge resolution of the sensor, each pixel in the final image is the result of “super sampling” several sensor pixels .

Here is a snapshot showing stack and bayer filter sensor
