Be ready to forget the Android and Windows mobile and have a new experience with Firefox OS running smartphones.Today,Mozilla officially launched their Firefox OS for mobile phones and they have deals with 18 operators in place, a
partnership with Qualcomm to use Snapdragon chipsets and four
manufacturers - ZTE, Alcatel, LG and Huawei. The ZTE and Alcatel already announced their devices running on Firefox OS at the MWC.
Firefox OS
It uses HTML5-based apps that run on technology clubbed with
the Firefox browser.It's target is to create an open source OS, so that web developers can easily
create apps and post them on the Firefox Marketplace.
If you use Firefox Aurora for Android then you can check the marketplace.
You will find same social networking apps for Facebook and Twitter,
Nokia’s HERE mapping solution, Box integration,EA Mobile games and
Disney Mobile Games,as with Android OS.
Privacy:The latest Firefox OS is totally committed to your privacy, security and
customizations and the Firefox browser is known for that and makes a search reliable and fast too.
Video Calling:Firefox OS also supports video calling over Web RTC( a browser-based
tech, also available on the Android Firefox Aurora app). |
Alcatel One Touch Fire:It packs a 3.5-inches screen, 1GHz processor along with 256MB RAM, 3.2Megapixel camera, 512MB onboard
storage, microSD card slot expansion (2GB card already packed in device). Connectivity is not a issue.It has 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS (with
Nokia HERE maps). The Alcatel One Touch Fire will have first launch in China (Mozilla and China Unicom signed a contract), Latin America, Europe and in Poland in the summer via
Deutsche Telecom.
ZTE Open:You are already familiar about it because it
emerged yesterday right before MWC event.It has a 3.5” HVGA screen,512MB Built-In memory (with preloaded 2GB microSD card),3G connectivity
(7.2Mbps HSDPA, 5.76Mbps HSUPA), along with Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0,
GPS and FM Radio.
