Now Bionic hand will be able to feel the sensation too

Now those days will become a history when a person use to adopt a hand just to full fill some usual daily needs and to look normal.This a good news for peoples who lost hands either in accidents or due to genetic disorder. Due to new artificial intelligence now a bionic hand also will be able to feel thee things,persons and everything present around it.


The previous models of bionic hands was able to receive signals from mind and change them in to movements but they were unable to send back the signals to mind.But now new hand, which can be  attached directly to the nervous system having electrodes clipped on to two of the arms main nerves, will help to feel the outer sense with bionic hand.Also electrodes will help to control the hand using just their thoughts and will also send sensory signals back to the brain.

The previous studies shows that people do not use artificial limbs due to lack of sensation and due to using difficulties in their  functions.

Dr Silvestro Micera from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne institute help to develop this intelligent arm said"This is real hope for amputees. It will be the first prosthetic that will provide real-time sensory feedback for grasping."

Also Dr Micera, who was attending the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences conference in Boston, said "The idea would be that it could deliver two or more sensations at one time."

In the 2009 a similar models was developed which was able to receive signals from nervous system and perform usual actions like holding a thing,can or a cup of coffee but that was not able to feel sensation and touch.Now you can feel a sensation of pinch,touching your love one and the things which you want to feel around you. Now be ready to live a life like moment with a artificial limb if you have lost it.

Update:The doctors in Boston said that new bionic hand will be transplanted to a patient in a hospital of Rome
