Nokia Lumia 720 and 520 launched in India,priced at RS.10,500

The leading mobile phone manufacturer,Finnish Nokia launched the Windows 8 smartphone,Lumia 720 and 520 in Indian market today.

The Lumia 720  is priced at Rs.10,500.This is the cheap version of their advanced smartphone.The device will be available in one week for sale.This is a Windows 8 smartphone,having some features of Lumia 920.

As we know Lumia series is important for Nokia.Also on Wednesday the budget Windows phone,the Lumia 520 was launched which also runs on Windows 8 OS.

  • 6.7 Megapixel  rear camera/1.3MP front camera
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4.3-inches IPS clear black display
  • 8GB internal storage,expandable up to 64GB via microSD card
  • 2000mAH battery
Now going on Nokia Lumia 520,the device runs on Windows 8 SO along a 1GHz dual-core processor.This is also priced around Rs.10,500 and it will be available in 5 colors.For video capture it has a 5 megapixel camera but nothing for front.

Both the handsets were unveiled during the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona in February.

Nokia Director Smart Devices (India Middle East Africa) Vipul Mehrotra told reporters that "The launch of Nokia Lumia 720 and Nokia Lumia 520 reflects our commitment to build a winning ecosystem that will enrich people's mobile experience and help them connect with each other at newer price points."

Nokia VP Smart Devices (UX Design) Nikki Barton were also there and said ""These power-packed devices are developed for young and socially active consumers who demand a stylish power-packed smartphone with a wide range of features to enhance their on-the-go experience."

  1. Looks good, nice phone and amazing battery life.

    I do however think since Nokia are pushing so hard for their new phones to have windows, they should make the proper, current version of phone and its apps available to all that buy one right now, not just 920 but also this. Otherwise you are missing out- and when you find out that you have been rorted you will be angry with Nokia.
